Shelley Wade Moves From KSSX To KMYI

Posted: 23 May 2016 10:50 AM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...-kssx-to-kmyi/

As the rumor mill continues to churn regarding the future of Rhythmic AC
95.7 Kiss-FM KSSX Carlsbad/San Diego, middayer Shelley Wade is moving to
sister Hot AC Star 94.1 KMYI.

Wade will host from 2-4pm and then provide entertainment updates during
Hazes 4-8pm show. Delana Bennett, who currently hosts the 2-4pm slot will
remain in her slot co-hosting mornings with 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles
afternoon host Jesse Lozano. Wade spent three years at KSSX following
twelve years in middays and overnights at sister CHR Z100 WHTZ New York.
She also hosts weekends on 104.3 My-FM KBIG Los Angeles.

With Wades exit from KSSX following the move of PD/Afternoon Host Louie
Cruz to Modesto/Stockton in March, the expected flip of the station to
Urban/Rhythmic CHR seems much more likely.

104.9 WOW-FM Gainesville Moves To 100.9

Posted: 23 May 2016 04:51 AM PDT
https://radioinsight.com/blog/headli...oves-to-100-9/

JVC Media has moved Classic Hits 104.9 Wow-FM WYGC High Springs FL to the
100.9 signal that had been home to Soft AC Smooth-FM WXJZ Gainesville.

The move gets the Classic Hits format off the rimshot signal of 104.9 and
to the stronger in Gainesville 100.9. Despite the poor signal in
Gainesville and non-existent signal in the Ocala half of the market,
Wow-FMs 1.1 share in the Fall 2015 Nielsen Audio ratings over-performed
WXJZs 0.8 share. WXJZ had returned to the Smooth-FM brand in September 2015
following a run as Dance CHR Party-FM.

No word yet on what will come to 104.9 following the transitional period,
but it wouldnt be a shock to see WYGC return to the simulcast of sister My
Country 102.3 WTRS Dunnellon/Ocala that the station had prior to the launch
of Wow-FM in February 2014.
