Sean Demery Joins KINK Portland As Program Director

Alpha Media AAA 101.9 KINK Portland has appointed Sean Demery as its new
Program Director.

Demery most recently programmed AAA 88Nine WYMS Milwaukee and running his
own consultancy. He is best known for his long run as APD/MD/Afternoon host
at Alternative 99X WNNX Atlanta from its launch in 1992 to 1999, and then a
brief run in mornings at the station in 2006-2007. Demery has also
programmed Alternative Live 105 KITS San Francisco and X96 KXRK Salt Lake
City and hosted mornings at AAA 103.7 The Mountain KMTT Seattle in his
career.

Demery succeeds Alpha Media EVP/Programming Scott Mahalick as to day to day
programmer of KINK.

Alpha Media, Portland names Sean Demery Program Director of 101.9 KINK FM.

Sean Demery is a seasoned media veteran with years of programming, on-air
and consulting experience whos been around the block more than once on
squeaky rollerblades. His experience includes stations such as;
WNNX/Atlanta, KITS/San Francisco, KMTT/Seattle, KXRK KLRZ/Salt Lake City,
WYMS/Milwaukee, and KGGI/Riverside San Bernardino to name a few.

Alpha Media Executive VP of Programming, Scott Mahalick commented on the
announcement, “Sean is a World Class programmer, digital maverick, and
talent coach who gets the vibe of Portland and will be dedicated full-time
to the growth of KINK. We are looking forward to Seans impact in taking us

103.7 The Legend Brings Classic Country To Portland

iHeartMedia has flipped Country Tailgate 103.7 K279BO Portland/105.9
KFBW-HD3 Vancouver WA to Classic Country 103.7 The Legend.

K279BO had launched in October 2014 as a commercial-free competitor to
Alpha Medias 98.7 The Bull KUPL and Entercoms 99.5 The Wolf KWJJ to siphon
some ratings shares from the full-powered competitors. Tailgate never
generated any momentum as it registered a 0.3 share in its final PPM
monthly.

The flip to Classic Country fills an untapped void in the Portland market.
The change follows the exit of K279BO and Sports Rip City Radio 620 KPOJ
Executive Producer Bobby Corser last week.

Cumulus Media has hired Kathy Brown as Program Director of Urban Z93 93.3
WWWZ Summerville and Urban AC Magic 107.3 WMGL Ravenel/Charleston SC.

Brown joins Cumulus from iHeartMedia St. Louis where she was programming
Urban 100.3 The Beat KMJM and Gospel Hallelujah 1600 KATZ. Brown also spent
14 years as OM of Radio-One Baltimore and Regional Program Director for
Radio-One overseeing the companys Urban AC stations.

Cumulus Media announces that it has appointed 20-year radio programming
professional Kathy Brown as Program Director for WWWZ-FM and WMGL-FM,
heritage Urban radio stations in Charleston, SC. Brown joins Cumulus
Media-Charleston from iHeart Media-St. Louis, where she was Program
Director of Urban station KMJM and Gospel station KATZ-AM. She was
previously Assistant Program Director at CBS Radio-Atlanta’s Urban station,
WVEE. Prior to that, Brown was Operations Manager for Radio One’s
WWIN-AM/FM, WERQ and WOLB in Baltimore, MD, and became Regional Program
Director during her 14-year tenure, serving Urban AC stations in markets
including Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, and Baltimore, as well as Augusta,
GA, Detroit, MI, and Los Angeles, CA.

Bill West, Operations Manager, Cumulus Media-Charleston, said: “Kathy is a
pro and I’ve already been inspired by hearingÂ*her ideas for our brands here
in Charleston.�
