The Host of WFMU's Audio Kitchen, hosts a two-part overview of the
career of radio veteran Bob "Mad Dog" Lassiter on Aircheck. As a talk
host, Lassiter specialized in ****ing off the elderly, Christians, and
a variety of intellectually-challenged listeners, and turning them
into irate, and ultimately entertaining, callers. Compared to the
lock-step right wing bozos that dominate talk radio these days,
Lassiter's mischievous and misanthropic style is practically high art.
In these two episodes of Aircheck, The Professor will feature plenty
of Lassiter: hostile phone calls, a couple monologues, and Bob himself
talking about his strange career in radio.

Bob Lassiter was a Asshole. I listened to him when he had a show here in
Tampa. But his ratings were so low and people were calling the station
asking for him to be removed so they could stand to listen to 970 WFLA
again. He was forced off the air and was replaced with Glenn Beck in his
time slot (3 to 7pm). After that this time slot quickly shot up the charts
from around 16th place to 1st in the Ratings.
