Just FYI, if this is going to disintegrate into a flame war, don't bother
crossposting to rec.radio.broadcasting because I won't continue to post
the articles.

We could use a moderator on rec.radio.shortwave too. Are you available?

Sure. But you realize there is a relatively involved procedure to get it
moderated, right?

For the Big 8 hierarchy -- rec.*, soc.*, comp.*, news.* and four others whose
names I forget -- you essentially have to go through the process originally
used to create the group - request for discussion, call for votes, etc. It
is not a quick process.

How long have you been monitoring 'rec.radio.broadcasting'?

Not to mention the extended psychological analysis to find out why
anyone would want to moderate such a newsgroup. You'd find it more
interesting and productive to spend your time trying to find the
aliens the gummint is hiding.

Oh, I don't know - a year, 18 months, 2 years now... I honestly forget when
I started - the original moderator passed away and I took over from the
interim moderator some time after that. Why?
