Radio Sunshine in Luxembourg

Can anyone tell me if the "old" Sunshine Radio in Luxembourg is still
on the air? Broadcasting from the district of Limpertsberg on 102.2
FM, it was the only English speaking radio station in the City of
Luxembourg for some time, as far as I know.

They lost there licence last year, there are still a court case
running, so there are a little chance they will be back on air but
only a little chance.
They still stream on the net but it's nonstop music.

Graham Oldman is on another English owned station in the weekend,
can't remember which one.
But go to ukradio.com in the forums and look up Tango Sunshine.

All the best

As my friend Jan correctly pointed out - no - the FM service of Sunshine Radio Luxembourg ceased after the station had been sold to Tango (local mobile phone company) and they subsequently had the licence revoked due to a shift in the policy of how Sunshine was run - and how the Luxembourg Radio Authorities wished to apply the licensing regulation.

That was approximately January 2003.

One of the things that might just have caused a problem - was a licence for an EIRP of 100w - and the fact of a 1,000w booster over very low loss cable to a double dipole high gain verticle array - add to that a very tastey IDT processor - and methinks it might have upset the competition somewhat...?

Its all been sold off now - nothing remains except the memories - and a few recordings of what was a great little local station.

Will it ever come back? Who knows! Maybe one day when the wind is in the right direction :)
