Digital Radio Commercial Production ...

Hi All :
I saw Roy Cunningham recently, he is well and very busy ... wondering, like
he used to, if anyone out there is experimenting with digital recording for
radio commercials ... the only 'support' group seems to be a Seattle based
software development group that I contribute to ...
Amoung other things, they determined that if someone has recorded 37 discreet
individual tracks, at 48 KHz sample rate, and tries to mix-down, the software
crashes - they were all 30 second recorded 'passes' ... well now we know that
one ...
Gone is all my rack mounted gear, including the Alesis Compressor/Limiter &
the DoD Vocalist II - everything now fits in a suitcase, with the main item
being a PC laptop, and tons of mics, headphones, cables and adapters ...
I'm using two MIDI keyboards to pre-record and mixdown the production music
'beds' ... anyone else doing the same?

Thanks

Joe
