Ken Hamblin?
 

The operations manager for the local Ken Hamblin affiliate just called
me all in a tizzy, saying the satellite channel was silent and the KH
website was not there. Has Brother Ken pulled another walkout or has
the show moved to a different network or is my OM friend just looking in
the wrong places?

Hey All:

Ken went WITHOUT PAY for 3 months from American View. That's why he
left the organization. Rich, would you define leaving your employer
after NOT BEING PAID for 3 months as a "hissy fit"???

Anyway...he's been with the new distributors ever since. Roger, his
producer, can be reached at 303-758-1363 if you have further questions
or want to add him.

Don't know why they couldn't get his feed as he is where he has always
been...maybe a technical issue. Who knows??

I hope this puts it to bed.

Since I don't recall using that term I'll assume I'm not the Rich to
whom you refer. To answer the question: no.

Not being paid could mean a lot of things, depending on his
contractual arrangements. Is he an employee or independent contractor.
Is he paid a salary plus a share of revenue or just revenue? It could
be that there wasn't any revenue. Unfortunately, that's happened to
many people in syndication where they couldn't meet ad agency
requirements of 85% national coverage.

Most small networks are packaged with others and the revenue split
among them.

Rich
