XM Radio Roady 2 Home Kit

I purchased this Roady 2 radio few months ago with the hope of
receiving the free "home antenna kit" rebate they were offering at the
time. Now it has been more than 9 weeks and I still haven't received
it. They said it was in back order. OK. I just now called XM radio rep
to deactivate my XM radio service for 6 month, maybe more, to
compensate this, which I consider as a loss.

Company should do what they promise, thats's it. Tired of those
prolong, unrealized rebate games.

So contact your State Atty General and request help with the rebate.
Usually a letter from an Atty General's office gets the rebate coming
and if it doesn't, your failure to receive the rebate may be part of a
suit against the company in question.

So... you bought a Roady, subscribed to the service, waited 9 weeks
for a rebate item to arrive and when it didn't you cancelled the
service?

In other words, you bought a product and a service you wanted, but
because they didn't come through on something over and above what you
originally expected (for free, by the way) you are willing to eat the
cost of the equipment and cancel the service that you wanted.

Genius... pure genius...

This problem has been widespread and is uncalled for. The problem has
persisted for a very long time. I am an XM stockholder and know many
others who are stockholders -- and several have had the same problem.

I have forwarded a copy of your message to a member of XM's management
-- I hope to hear back tomorrow & post a response.

XM has operated with superb near-perfection. It is remarkable that
this one thing has not been attended to.

You may want to check out some of the people at xm411.com about this
-- others have the same problem & may be able to provide advice.

I don't know if it helps your situation immediately, but I have
received back an email from the CEO at XM who agreed this problem
should not have persisted, and committed to follow up on it at once.
I also noticed he had forwarded my email to several other people.

My guess is they'll make every effort to build a fire under those who
are dragging their feet. It is highly unusual for this company to
have allowed a problem like this to persist, but your's isn't an
isolated incident.

Hopefully, this will help.
