bradcast microphone comparison

Does anyone have experience with the variaous broadcast microphones? I own an
RE-20 and wonder what the best microphones are -- Rodes Broadcaster, RE-27,
etc.

As in rec.audio.pro, The usuals are RE20, SM7, U87 and U89.
Many consider the RE27 to have too much high end.
Rodes sound brittle to my ears.

Neuman KM-183

Those RE-20s are a joke. Major pain in the ass to hang. The Neumann
sounds better and is reasonably sized.
