Christmas Drive for DAB
 

DAB Digital Radios make the perfect Christmas gift from under £50.
That's the message coming out of your TV, radio, newspapers and
magazines this Christmas.

On December 1, the DRDB (Digital Radio Development Bureau) launches
its final promotional campaign of the year across more than 200
analogue commercial radio stations, including national, local and
regional stations.

The 10 second and 20 second spots, which will run for nearly four
weeks up to December 24, will also appear on DAB only commercial
stations where listeners already converted to the benefits of DAB may
be thinking of buying digital radios as Christmas gifts.

Produced by radio specialists, Radioville, for the Digital Radio
Development Bureau, the ads focus on the fact that you can now buy a
DAB digital radio for "under 50 quid".

The campaign is timed to mirror a multimedia promotion for DAB radio
across TV, radio and outdoor sites from the BBC.

Promotions include:

* Classic FM has teamed up with Roberts Radio to give away a
special Classic FM branded DAB radio every hour between December 13
and 19.

* Virgin Radio and Digital One are giving away a DAB radio every hour
between December 11 and 24.

* Classic Gold is giving away a PURE Digital radio every day from
December 1 to 24.

* Capital Gold is also giving away a PURE Digital radio every day
from December 1 to 24.

* And DAB Digital Radios feature large in a whole load of BBC
competitions across the analogue and digital Networks throughout
December.
