Will HD radio signal penetrate metal building

From what I have seen, the IBOC FM signal is maybe a little bit more
robust than the analogue signal. So if the FM reception is a little
marginal, you may still be able to get the HD broadcast from that station.

On the other hand, IBOC AM is less robust than the analogue signal, so
if the AM station is marginal, you probably won't be able to get the IBOC
AM signal from it at all.

Remember the IBOC signals are basically "bags on the side" of the existing
analogue channels, so the propagation characteristics and interference
issues will tend to be more or less the same as the signal they are hanging
off of.
