Highly Sensitive AM *and* FM Radio

Put up a roof antenna and use your existing receiver. I had no problem
picking up the UGA station from Chamblee, with the Winegard FM yagi
and a (pretty crappy) Citation III tuner. And Atlanta is intermod city,
with local RF issues that are a lot worse than what you'll be dealing with.

Money spent on the antenna will probably buy you more than on the receiver.

I've been experimenting with AM loop antennas, these are cheap to build, and can be very sensitive.
