WTWP, more listening

OK, after some more listening to WTWP "Washington Post Radio"
(replacing WTOP 1500 in Washington DC and suburbs) I've got a few more
opinions:

1. Interviews are now much slicker than the first couple of days.

2. Most of the interviews are not with newsmakers, but are interviews
with Washington Post reporters, columnists, and other media (e.g. TV
reporters, spokespersons, former spokespersons...) personalities "in"
the news industry. This isn't all bad, and other radio news (even NPR)
is often talking about the media reporting the news rather than those
making the news. But it seems an unnecssary level of indirection: why
interview a reporter about his article, rather than talk about the
subject more directly?

Because the whole purpose of the station is to promote the newspaper.
For what you want, go to WTOP on FM.
