I suppose Dana means:
Winamp Winamp Library Online Services AOL Radio with XM By "best format," do you mean the programming? I hope you don't mean the stream's digital format is the best you've ever heard. At 16k bits-per-second (bps) -- providing 2 channels at 8k bps each -- I find the sound is barely tolerable for more than a few seconds. I find that awful sound swamps good programming. It's difficult for me to understand how you could have avoided mentioning the awful sound while reporting the "best format" you've ever heard. Do you have a vested interest in giving this "service" an unrealistically positive review? There are a couple of Classical music XM channels I'd be happy to find streaming on the internet. But by sending them with such a slow stream, they get distorted to death -- which ruins the music. Please tell your boss I said so. Thanks. |
