All real (read not junk built in your garage here) amplifiers have them, as do all real amateur radios built in the last 10-15 years. Even the QRP Yaesu FT-817 ND has an ALC circuit, although no legally manufactured commercial amplifiers are allowed to be driven at 5 watt power levels. You can homebrew your own, but you cannot buy a homebrew splatterbox built in a garage (yours). If, and I emphasize -if- here, you have sold any amps to amateur operators, they must be ****ing moron types, or so hobbled by physical challenges that they cannot build their own amps.
