Need Help Installing CB Antenna in 1996 Ford Explorer

Hello Everyone,

Myself and several of my friends at school have all installed CB radios
in our cars for the sole purpose of putting a PA Horn on the outside of
our car to yell and talk to each other. Recently though we all that it
would be a cool idea to get some CB antenna's so we could talk to each
other when on the road whenever we want, kind of like a club. I have a
1996 Ford Explorer XLT and I want to mount a magnetic mount antenna on
the top of my roof, the problem is I dont know how to get it from the
outside of my car to the inside of my car without drilling holes or
making it look messy. Any help on my accomplishing this goal would be
awesome and much appreciated.

Thanks,
Taylor Leach

Wilson 1000 magmount, or K40 magmount. If you are running an amp, use the
Wilson.

Hi Taylor

Is that a hatchback? I can't remember. You could go with a hatchback mount
or the hood mount for that matter, they 'clamp' on with set screws. That
way the coax run is almost internal from the get go. The mag mounts are
easy but they kinda scratch the paint, and where to run the coax is a
question sometimes.

You can unscrew the antenna from the mount when it's not in use and for
garage clearance and such.
