swearing on the cb

The hams are wanting to outlaw swearing on cb and frs.

Well, I don't like swearing either, but the problem is whose standards
do we go by?

To all you hams who want to outlaw swearing, listen up

My family and the whole rest of the community from where my family is
originally from in the U.S. considers "darn" and "dang" (yes, in
exactly that way" as swearing while "freaking" is considered as not
swearing.

However, where my family lives in the U.S. now, the whole rest of the
community considers "darn" and "dang" as not swearing and considers
"freaking" as swearing.

So do you hams outlaw "darn and "dang" and allow "freaking" or do you
allow "darn and "dang" and outlaw "freaking"? Or do you outlaw all of
them?

So whichever way you hams do it (presuming you get your way), a LOT
of people will be looking at you very verry negatively for violating
their constitutional right to free speech by outlawing words that
aren't swear words.(to them).

I think part of the appeal of the HAM community is that it is 'cleaner'
(more sophisticated). A lot of CBers jumped to HAM radio because of the
stuff on CB radio. However, I have to admit, the whole fun of listening to
CB is channel 19, if you know what I mean ;)))))
Anyway, you're not going to get an unlicensed CB radio community to "stop
swearing". Ain't gonna happen, no matter how hard you try. However, if you
are a CBer, and don't like swearing, you can make a personal choice to stop
swearing if you don't like it.

They have been swearing on the CB since the 70's. The worst sounds I
heard on the CB back in the 70's was some dude on the radio causing
and before his signal went off the air you heard an explosion. Then
another time some dude was agitating truckers. During one of his
transmissions you could hear gunshots in the background and him
cussing up a storm. I guess it does not pay to have your radio room in
the front room or front bedroom if you are an agitator.

Then there was the guy who fell asleep at the radio and his head or
hand laid on the push to talk button. For hours all you could hear was
the dude snoring.

Nope Brian, never purchased any illegal equipment. Do you want to back
your claim up? If you say I did then post my address for all to see. Its
amazing that you trash cb operators yet try to sell your pseudo legal
kit on a cb board.
