There was a model that had one driving three, driving 6, or something like that. I wounder what it drew in current? Just amazing how out of hand these linears got with the start of the Palmar Pulser that had only one tube. I remember my dear ol Dad having to remove the old Ford generator off his 1964 Custom Cab Truck with bright Red Bucket Seats (hot stuff in 1964) and install a new wizz bang Alternator. More hot stuff for the late 60's early 70;s. He had the Ampmeter mounted on the RH Side of the dash, using plumbing chrome finish fixtures. Hello Steveo:
Yeah man no kidding, nice driver. Dear ol Dad had a Mustang 100 shoe box linear on his Albocore Fishing Boat. This amplifier had two 6JG6A's in it. Then it was replaced with the palamar 150, OH yeah what a Big Strap! This drove a 2 element quad antenna on the fishing boat. Dad loved to shot skip to all over the world on the CB on the boat. Buts thats another story. Jay in the Mojave Steveo wrote: Yo Jay Nice driver. Jay in the Mojave wrote: Hello all: Heres one that brings back fond old memories, yeah a full 100 watts and more! Hello Jay
Yeah that sounds like a fun boat as a yougin for certain. My dad never had much interest in radio, but he was/is a hell of a fisherman and hunter. Gotta enjoy those tube type rigs while they're still alive, qsk. The old man has the real radio voice so if I want to draw attention to myself I put him up to calling cqdx. Good clean radio fun. ROFLOL!), ancient piece of equipment in its own right, no harmonic filtering, etc. You'd be amazed though, some other idiot amateur will buy it ... Regards, JS |

Yanks will hate France for they have a different opinion on how the world revolves. People forget Yorktown Va and the Statue of Liberty. I spent some time in France and can say they are no different than you and I. The French Revolution is considered a watershed event in the history of human development. The ignorant here may loathe them but without their help during the Revolution we would be playing cricket instead of baseball. |
