I have run a KW mobile, two 125 Amp alts and extra batteries in the trunk.

250 watts in a mobile is about perfect--standard 80-100 amp is
sufficient--just remember NOT to xmit with engine off or at an idle for
extended periods of time ...

Hello JS:

The Maverick 250 is a Base Linear Amplifier, does 250 watts easy. Uses
Sweep tubes in a well designed circuit. I have a poo dunk 10 watt Yaesu
radio, that will drive the modified Maverick 1250 with no problem. The
Tetrodes tubes will have a broad band toroid matching transformer and a
resistive load, used in many Tetrode Amplifiers. So I will be able to
get all the bands even 160.

I have never had a Bodaous Mobile set up like yours. But did put in a
150 amp alternator in the 4x4 truck. It powers a all band 8 pill amp
just fine. I don't go in for extra batteries, just a big alternator.
