Keep an ear open for skip
Hello All:
As everyone has talked about the conditions changing not a hole lot is being done. So I figured it was on me to get things going here. The old adage of washing your car knowing this will bring rain. So I have taken down my beam antenna for a few adjustments. This should bring in massive band openings and such. Needing to install a new winch assembly as this small tower is used to raise and lower all my test antennas and such, the winch needs replacing. I have eating up 3 of the cheap winches from Harbor Freight. They just arn't made for the powerful gear reduction torque motor I use to lower and raise the tower, sometimes ten times a day or even more. Depends how misinformed I am thinking how the antenna works. So as you can I am doing my part. Your cooperation would be appreciated, by keeping an ear open for the band openings. Jay in the Mojave |

Jay in the Mojave My DXing was not getting out for the last few months. That all changed on Wed. I seemed to be hitting everywhere. Ark, Tenn. And nothing changed on my part. Vinnie S. |

Jay in the Mojave Hi Jay Yeah you can never tell when it will open up but it is more likely to happen when you have your gear apart. I just got my relay/alc cable soldered up for this 430 and want to try it with the dx, so it probably won't open anytime soon. :) |

Jay in the Mojave Hey Jay. I did both ground-wave and skip with my homemade amp cable tonight so far, I'll call it working in progress. The amp seems OK with it too so good to go so far. think yep yaking |
