Not really sure it is. james Brilliant. Surface mount components and no ESD protection. Vinnie S. |

Assuming that that is not ESB bubblewrap and can actually hold a charge, where do you think the path is going to? Vinnie S. |

You really are something... lol You didn't answer the question. Is that ESD bubblewrap? 2 problems I see: 1. If it's ESD bubblewrap, then it's conductive. Which means it can't be in there permanently. 2. If it's not ESD bubblewrap, then you introduce the possibility of ESD, especially in cold and very dry climates. Being that that is a mobile rig, the problem of static is worse because you always can discharge yourself as you get in or out of the car. If you ever go to a gas station, you see signs about that. As far as the picture, all it shows is that an antenna is connects. Nothing else. But that is all I was getting at. You are one paranoid fool. Vinnie S. |

It doesn't have to be you putz! All circuitry on the VoiceMax is shielded with a grounded metal shield. Don't you see the reflection of the shield sitting on the bubble wrap. Now look closely this time. If you don't see it then you are you legally blind, very stupid, or just puttin' me on. http://tinyurl.com/2t2usu |

I can't see a metal sheild, plus the photos you have shown have been of components. If there is a metal shield, then good for you. But you photo taking abilities are ****. Making sound like it's there in braod daylight, just shows what a complete ass you are. BTW, I noticed you claimed that the people who purchased it are these technically inclined people. Obviously, they must have gone to the saem business 101 school you went to. They installed a product that they got for about $40, into a CB worth about $40. Brilliant. Vinnie S. |

Thanks in advance for your explanation... lol |http://tinyurl.com/2t2usu | |------------------- Sheilding does nothing for ESD protection. ESD damage can be induced from power leads as well as signal inputs and outputs. In fact more damage is done with ESD discharge with ground rising above the positive supply potential during an ESD event. A 4KV discharge is easily encountered with handling of any componnent or assembly without even the person knowing it happens. The human body can impart as much as a 16KV discharge during an ESD event. james |

You sir need glasses... lol Listen to yourself, Brain. Do you know what makes you an asshole? I had nothing against you and was interested in one of your voicemaxes. But you're a little wise ass momma's boy. It's no wonder that guy came in here and said they same things are being said about you now, as 12 years ago. I guess your parents were out getting drunk when they should have been teaching you your manners. Vinnie S. |

Man - just "seeing" that in print - is like a fingernail across a chalkboard. Oddly, "I" had nothing against Brian, didn't even know the guy. But when he come here and started cracking on me - and not even knowing me - well - he showed his hand immediately. So - all I can say is - HE SUCKS and can kiss my ass. What a maggot. OR is there suppposed to be an "f" in front instead of an "m"? Sorry Brian - you brought this and all else - onto your self. You have only yourself to blame. You're nothing more than a flea on a Bull's ass. |
