More gimmick than reality. The Ultracapacitor can not help an electric
vehicle accelerate or climb a hill as implied. It can only suppress
very short term spikes or surges of battery drain that plague Li-ion
batteries.
If you can limit these spikes you can also increase the weight of
the vehicle which this SUV does. The drawback is this vehicle only has
a 40 mile range. Hardly a selling point when you compare it to other
electric vehicles shown at car shows.
