Hi All. One question. I have a Connex 4800 DXL and all works except it
will not change bands. Channel changes but not the bands. I get freqs:

Bad adder chip or cold solder joint.

Hi. Someone on rec.radio.swap told me that it just has not been modified

I couldn't tell you because I don't use radios with a 40 channel
selector knob that claim to be "10 meter" radios. I still think
the FCC is wrong about calling 2510's and 2950's CB's.

Move the jumper to unlock it... Should be VERY similar to this:

I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, as the DXL is a newer model, but the
148FGTL DX+ is the same as the 4800DX.
