Short skip conditions
Hello All:
Again seeing very short skip conditions on 10 and 11 meters. Not hearing anything on 12 or 15 meters. I was hearing a Texas station on 28.425 Mc yesterday, and went down to CH 38 LSB 27.385 Mc and was also hearing Texas. But in just a few min's the skip stations from Texas faded out to a whisper then gone. Some south and then north stations heard in the noise, buts that it. Be advised. Got skip? Jay in the Mojave |

Starting to get occasional eastern openings but the copper wire conditions are still to the northwest. Hello Bob Dobbs: I listened last night to the skip conditions I heard Texas and some stations out of the north. Not a terrific find, buts its a indication of easterly skip. Jay in the Mojave |

Jay in the Mojave Hello Jay Those big scrappers from the lone star have been strong here in the Buckeye as of late. I can't help but notice the noise to signal ratio ratio raises quite a bit when that happens. Those boys have too much fun sometimes. I've talked to Kalifornia more than usual lately too. I'm digging this ts870 with the voodoo audio rack - wide-banded ...I'm waiting for the UK to open up, then I'll know were back in the game. 73 Steve. -- http://NewsReader.Com/ |

Computer's been on the fritz so a little late with response. We're starting to get some north east stuff as well as fairly regular Oklahoma etc. 6m was ducting all up around LA for some VHF contest a few days ago but haven't heard any DX ionosphere action yet, 80m was poor last night, got good then fell apart the rest of the evening. As far as Texas. I'm sure you hear that west TX guy Bill (500) out of Lubbock and some of those powerhouses out of New Mexico. Almost every day now it's getting better on 10/11 so maybe we've weathered the worst of it. Hello Bob Dobbs: Ok I just took my 6 meter Interceptor 10K, 5/8 wavelength ground plane down, had to put a new roof on. That 5/8 vertical worked better than the local that used a 5 element beam, he must of had to all done wrong. So now I need to put it back up again yeaH! Jay in the Mojave |
