Unstable, drifting piece of antique export crap,
you have to add a chipswitch to get any 'features'.

It's alot of things but not crap, Bob. I'm sure your Uniden will out work
it.

HR2510, 15 years of frozen and thawed , dropped and dusted, rock solid
radio.

Drives my Texas star to 500W.
(god rest her 2510 soul.)

Thanks for checking in Bob, now spit on her grave.

As much as I wanted the uniden I ended up with the Ranger.
Not too shabby in its day either, but...
nowhere near the class gear I've got these days.

Yeah but now that makes me remember the ranger ar-3500. I think that
was it. Which was the better and why??
3500
2950
2510

I think I remember the 3500 coming with 100 watts???

I believe the 2510 had more potential,
because of its ability to use the chipswitch,
than either of the two Rangers,
otherwise they all were about the same out of the box.
The 2950 mod was easier than chipswitch installation,
but I only knew people that had the 'other' Ranger
so am not too familiar with its details.

Yeah if I remember correctly the ar-3500 came in 2 modiles. (1) was a
30 watt version and the other was a 100 watt version.
