Newbie question about power supplies

I have just purchased a Midland 77-095 CB & have a 13.8V 5A power
supply, is the power supply suitable for the CB? In the book that came
with the CB it identifies that the power supply should be 13.8V but
give not indication to the current.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated as I have tried google to no
avail.

Thanks

A power supply of 3 amps is adequate, 5 amps is fine, and unless you plan on
using some power accessories you shouldn't need anything larger.

5 Amps should be more than enough.
