im finally around to tinkering with my galaxy 33
its an older model,,has a date under the cover in magic marker
power con-9-13-93
made in malaysia
ok,,it hears good
but when i key up it burys other radios meters
and when i talk it swings backwards
my voice is heard,,,but it is accompanied by a buzzing sound
it is modified for cb channels
i also noticed r249 was cut and resoldered
and also tr53 is removed completley
i recently picked this up at a flea market for 35.00
and do not know its history
i do know the hack that was in it could not solder
i have reflowed all his solder joints
so it looks acceptable
i am trying to get it,so when i take it to a shop
alls he has to do is tune it up for me
not spend hours on the bench going through it
