Default Hood Mount Antenna

I am going to mount a 5' Firestik antenna to a hood mount on my 97 F250 HD.
I was reading the material from Firestik and they suggest mounting it on the
passenger side of the vehicle at least 12" from any other antenna. What are
the drawbacks if I mount it to the driver side? Are the drawbacks enough
that I should mount it to the passenger side?
Thanks.

There are more trees to hit on the passenger side. My 7 foot KW-7 is mounted
on the driver's side of the rear bumper. The 5/8 wave 2 meter is on the driver's
side of the front. The dual band shorty for the scanner is on the passenger side.
(got hooked to the HT the other night for a 440 test!!)

Now, where will I mount the 6 meter antenna. I might just put it in place of
the CB antenna...so much DaveMade noise there anyway.

TSH,
It will make very little or no difference which
side you mount your antenna.
