Better utilization of HF spectrum, and more spectrum for hams. All the
non-ham stuff should be VHF or UHF, for the obvious reason.

The hams hardly used 11 meters when they had it, what makes you think
they would use it now if they got it back? Besides, the cbers have
made such a mess of it, it would take years to clean the filth out.

equating cb'ers and filth eh? in your limited world hams dont freeband?
guess you havn't heard the cw contests on 11 meters. so much for your
post...

In my world, *real* hams don't (notice I put the ' in don't) freeband
(there is no "freeband" in case you haven't noticed), just those cb
types who happen to hold a ham license. So much for your post...........

well if the hams took back 11 meters....what would they do about all
the skip talkers on channel 6???? those old black men would not like
you hammies trying to run them off and they would jump up and down and
stomp a radiowave mudhole in the back of your necks and walk it
dry.........no doubt about it......

Do you want it back? You can still use CB if you have an amateur ticket.
You're just not supposed to use your ham radio on it or cuss like a sailor.

This is true. They don't even use 10 meters much.

10 meters is quite dependent on the status of the sunspot cycle. When the
solar flux is good, the band is indeed heavily used but when the flux is
down, it won't support long distance communications.

i cant count the many times ive been making world wide contacts on the 11 meter
freeband only to slide my reciever to ten meters to hear only dead air. what a
shame. three old guys working 10-10 dont really count as a used band.

Actually, being a ham myself, I find the 10-10 club very disgusting. All
they seem to want to do from my observations, is collect numbers! If you
don't have one, they won't talk. I was even told once by one of them, if you
don't have a 10-10 number, I don't have time to talk to you. WHAT THE HELL
KIND OF FUN IS THAT? That turned me OFF of even thinking about joining that
organization. When I get on the air, I like to chat a while and have had
many good ones in my days. Any ass hole can collect numbers, how about
carrying on a conversation? OR is that beneath their ability? I realize
there are several contests out there to try for even if only self
gratification, but when it condones ignorance, then they can stick the
contests up their ass. I NEVER turned down a chat with anyone who called out
my call sign. The only reason I'm not on the air now though is because I've
been waiting to move. Once I do that, then I'll be back in the saddle again.
I love chatting to all I am able to. Also, on 1 meters, I know many who've
made as many contacts as I have on 10 meters. I say - ENJOY! G.W.
