Packet Ops

From: (Ham=A0Dat=A0Am)
Cindy -- you have to understand you asked a

question about illegal CB operation and Hams

are very much against ANY illegal operations

on any band.

That is such a myopic bull**** remark.

Kinda like asking an atheist question in a

Catholic Church.

Even your analogy is poor.

Go to rec.radio.cb --- you will get sympathy

there and also probably bad mouthed about

illegal operations.

Only by those ot unlike yourself who feel that all hammies are saints.

But perhaps you didn't know it was illegal --

now you do.

And perhaps you didn't know many hammies break the law,,,AND
freeband,,,now you do. For proof, merely check the rainreport and
compare the number of hammies getting popped compared to the number of
cbers. Therefore, Your statement "Hams are very much against illegal
operations" falls completely apart when subjected to the facts supplied
by the FCC.

Then I hope the guy who sold you the radio

pays the fine when the FCC nails you -- and

don't kid yourself -- they will.

Don't believe me

No. I don't, and neither does anyone else familiar with enforcement
issues.

Odd. You make the collective claim that hammies do not break the law
then secure and post a link that shows the opposite.. (shrug)
These hammie violators were not "found",,they were reported. The FCC,
sir, despite your thoughts otherwise, do NOT patrol the streets and
highways and neighborhoods of the USA looking for that DXing cber or
freebanding cber or someone talking on 27 MHZ that shouldn't be there. I
will be more than happy to inform you of any other misconceptions you
may hold regarding FCC enforcement issues.

Not up to us 'old white men' to handle you and
your problem.

You're right,,,you're too busy looking for a life.

I just forwarded your initial

message to the FCC. I hope they find it

interesting.

Forward mine, Dan. I freeband AND DX on eleven meter all the time.
Riley has been hounded by so many of you clowns forwarding usenet posts
to him that you've made the genuine complaints concerning actual harm
and behavior so much harder to follow up. It's amazing one can live to
be as "old" as you and learn so little

Don't like that?

You're years late and hundereds of complaints to short.

Too bad.

LOL.....you have issues. I also do 60 in a 55 at times. Hey
Dan,,,forward that to the Highway Patrol,

Dan/W4NTI

However the original poster Cindy indicated

she was in Tampa, FL and her e-mail address

substantiates that.

Her post also substantiated she was dooing NOTHING but inquiring of
something she knew to be taking place and/or heard, and in no manner did
she say, imply, or construe she would be breaking any law. Yet, the
knee-jerk reactions from the anal retentive instantly assumed her
intentions. They not only convicted her of breaking the law for a mere
question she posed concerning illegal activity that she may be listening
to, but faulted HER for attempting to get kids involed with hammie
radio, as if their is only one approach, "Their" approach. I've said it
time and time again, and it needs repeating,,,,,,, I find it extremely
ironic that a small minority of those licensed for communications, at
times express such a large deficit concerning such.

Sorry Ronny, =A0 you are confused.

Apparently not as confused as you, as my name isn't Ronny.

I never said I

was sending it to Riley.

I said I was sending it to the FCC.

My apologies, kind sir. Nevertheless, why not send it straight to the
source?

Oh and BTW you don't think enforcement

cares or can catch anyone of you packet

racket fools?

=A0=A0

Of course they don't give a damn about anything that goes down on 27
MHZ. Most realized that with the FCC abdication of enforcement there.
The only thing the FCC does is pacify some of you crusty, angry-types
who complain and complain about other ops until something is done. This
is a very big difference than the FCC "caring" or patrolling for such
violations.

=A0 Ask the guy in Miami how much his

equipment cost that was taken by the Federal

Marshalls a few years back.

=A0

=A0Why? What does the value of the confiscated radio equipment have to
do with the FCC "caring" about 27 MHZ illegal activity. He was warned
prior to his problems he self-created. But you may inquire and find you
will, that the incident you speak of, was a reported incident, not one
where the FCC was patrolling for scofflaws and merely "happened" upon
him.

Caught up to him right in the middle of that

packet burst to the Frency BBS.

He deserved it. He was warned.

You people are idiots. Why don't you just get

your 'hammie' license and do it legal?

=A0=A0What does having a license have to do with it?

The only "idiots" are the ones who continue to

be of the incorrect and fixated mindset that

hammies don't freeband or break the law.

Again, check the rainreport.

Miss the

thrill of never knowing when there will be a

knock on the door?

Has nothing to do with anything you speak.

Im right...you people are IDIOTS.

Dan/W4NTI

=A0=A0Idiots are those who fail to comprehend that another may actually
have differing interests than those of yourself. If you can't understand
this...you may indeed be another with a call sign expressing the
peculiar need to undermine his license. Lack of communication and debate
skill can be illustrated no better than by unprovoked insult. Ironic
that some, not unlike yourself, hold that a license is the deciding
factor between good guy/bad guy or idiot/genius, especially when
difficulty expressing communications without insult that effectively
convey your message is evident. Are you a member of this "ARRL", too,
Dan?
