Hmmm...I usually agree with all the things you say D & D, about God the
Almighty Father and Creator of all things, however, removing the Ten Commandments is NOT about God, but rather the Constitution. If those who are offended by the attempts to remove the Ten Commandments, then they need change the Constitution, but be warned, to do so will open the floodgates and ALL religions who want equal time must be given such. However wrong one may believe it, however offensive it may be, the doctrines of other religions would have to be displayed alongside the Ten Commandments. Think about how those that are screaming the loudest about wanting the Ten commandments displayed would feel if a passage of the koran (despite how many of us feel about it) was displayed alongside it. It's either complete separation of church and state or it's acceptance and equal time to all, otherwise, your undermining what this great country is about. Bush has assaulted, and may continue to assail the Constitution (the very document he swore to uphold and protect with his hand placed upon a bible) without any assistance from American citizens placing their selfish needs before that of the people and of the documents that forged this great country, under God. |
