Freebanding.....

Last weekend was great fun. For those of you that participated
(non-club members also welcome) we will be on the same QSY frequency as
the previous two weeks.....as you all know, we are getting tons of new
pledges, but you MUST have a physical address,,,no PO Boxes, no
exception. Renaldo repeats his email several times during the two hour
window, for those who want further information.
Remember, this frequency has been cw only for some time, and the club
would love to keep it that way. By the numbers:
Britain: 43
Canada: 27
Spain: 16
USA: 12
Australia: 8
Ireland: 3
Greenland:1
Mexico: 1
Africa: 1
France: 1

Some members said QSL cards have already began arriving from overseas.
The weekend division designee is still up for grabs. Happy DXing.

"Illegal use of CB radios adn RF amplifiers and
the epidemic of complaints to the FCC (46,000 in
2000) regarding illegal CB use"

"Rule violators choosing to operate outside the
authorized band segment interfere with world-wide
communication above and below the CB band. They
rationalize their activity as a hobby much like
the graffiti vandal might rationalize painting

"Rule violators turned the service into a

with businesses and families. The pathetic and
childish behaviors on the band chased off the rest
of us."

"Like graffiti did in the 70's, illegal CB use
spread worldwide. CB pirates from the USA and

Radio Service CW band. The culture of the rule
violator is now the culture of a folk outlaw. A

Unauthorized Operation"
The fines are nothing to joke about.

I remember this guy's site, Leland. It's the one with such altruistic
advertising policies but buys his cobra from his top advertiser, Bill's 2
Way.

"GMRS Web reserves the right to refuse service to anyone without
explanation. Banner ads should be related in some way to the two-way radio,
wireless products, or the personal communications industry. No adult
oriented ads or ads encouraging illegal activity are permitted (including
ads for export CB radios that are really intended to promote the illegal CB
radio market in this country.) Communications companies that specialize in
selling illegal radio equipment in U.S. markets or in making illegal radio
transmitter modifications should look elsewhere."

Check out www.bills2way.com ; Nope, no "illegal" CB stuff there. What a
hypocrite, LMAO.

I get the point Bert. What is the shocker is the
mention that the FCC receives 42K complaints a
year about illegal CB operations.

The number should have been 46K, not 42K. But
anyway the number came from
the web page at the address below.

What I actually find find sad is the relative absence of FCC enforcement
behind 46K complaints. When they DO strike, it's usually against a
freebanding ham who is running 30 or so Watts SSB on a RCI-2950 rather than
"Kilowat Charlie" running a 10kW mobile on AM. Get the demographic
implication, Leland?

I guess the FCC feals that the licensed amateurs should know better, and
they should know better, part of getting the license is studying FCC
regulations. Personally I feel that anyone that breaks the rules should get
nailed, all rules apply to all equally. I've admitted to having freebanded
before I got my ticket, and to running power. I still have radios that are
capable of tuning to the freeband but they are not even hooked up these
days. My license, and my money are not worth the trouble the freeband can
cause me.

Progress not perfection is the key Keith. Some
other freebanders on the group can learn a thing
or two from your experiences.

And this has what to do with anything at all? Oh,,,,heheh,,I get
it,,you're still trying to attribute some type intrusion on hammie bands
to myself...LOL...you can't,,you're a loser.

And a few quotes from another web page:

Umm,,no. No web pages. Web pages are not credible (you proved that,,you
keep getting them pulled..lol) as a source of reference unless they are
official government websites in this example, such as the FCC.

"Illegal use of CB radios adn RF amplifiers

and the epidemic of complaints to the FCC

(46,000 in

2000) regarding illegal CB use"

Two separate entities lumped together for false illusions. RF amps and
illegal cb's are separate. Get it together, OM. Wait,,you can't....LOL.

"Like graffiti did in the 70's, illegal CB use

spread worldwide. CB pirates from the USA

and South America can be found in the 10

power on the freeband.

Unauthorized Operation"

What's your point, Lelnad, besides the one on top of your head?? That
you have a serious ego problem? We know. That you have no self-control
regarding what I say or do? We know. You have always attempted to imply
malicious behavior against myself We know. thing is, I don't use big
power nor do I splatter the spectrum nor do I use hammie freqs
unauthorized and ALL my posts illustrate such....so does the article
that you brought to the group, like a proud papa who has just found the
Holy Grail,,,,hehehe,,,,the things that excite double-digit
IQ's.....LOL!
I stand behind what I write,, ,,you're incapable.

You have this unyielding tenacity, almost an innate *need* to attempt to
present me as one who splatters runs big power and splatters the
spectrum and invades hammie bands, despite my article (that you had the
*need* (LOL) to snip) slamming those who do
so...hmmmmmmmm......LOL..then again, this is what you must reduce
yourself to,,,,as you have nothing else except an incredible
self-loathing dillema.. Go back to forging people, Lelnad,,,it
illustrates your train-of-thought, lowly intellect and whupped ego.
Attempting to pigeonhole me in (read: lie) with spectrum splatterers and
hammie band intrusions illustrates the level of scum you currently
reside.

Upset that you were outted for your forging and lost ISP,s,,,you
realize what was left of your reputation was destroyed by your malice.

More lies from the ARRL representative, KC8LDO....forever etched in
stone. Now, carry on about MEMEMMEMEMEMEMMEMEMEMEMEMEME...LOL!
