Plase email me a WAV of morse code so I can hear what it sounded like wh en the old hammies used it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Article poste via Voila News - http://www.news.voila.fr Le : Sun Nov 2 00:31:15 2003 depuis l'IP : ac87591b.ipt.aol.com [VIP 532284301978] |

The future of the code is still in limbo, and could be resolved in several
months, or years. As far as the written, it is about as easy now, as it ever has been. "Twistedhed" wrote in message ... The international requirement was dropped on July 5th, so by next July it should probably be gone in the US. |

I hope the code stays.
Its a filter to keep the dumb ass CBers on their band. Tuned up on the band the other day and all that was there was a bunch of skip shooters, with no intelligence conversation at all, especially the DARK ONES on channel 6, and 11, going BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK BREAK YOUTHEMAN, YOUTHEMAN YOUTHEMAN, GETDOWN GETDOWN GETDOWN it sounded like a bunch of rachitjaw bull****.Bleeding five channels hell they could not understand them selves with all that over modulation. Could not imagine it if they came to Ham. Most would have to back to school just to learn to count to ten, and say ABC. Then on CH 19 all there was a bunch of truckers with pussy on their mind and sucking titties. I guess in their position I don,t blame them. That is what lot Lizards are far. |

Alun, you should be on the welcoming committee for this dude! - Mike KB3EIA - It's a difficult question. Do we applaud him for wanting to go legal? Or do we slam him for ever having operated illegally? I have known former pirate radio ooperators whose behaviour on the ham bands after they got a licence was exemplary. |

Should their past behavior be ignored? The difference is only in degree, not in kind. If they have already been punished in some way by the courts, then the answer to your query is (or should be) yes. If they have not been punished in some way by the courts, then, de facto, they have not been found guilty of any crime, and are to be presumed innocent. |

How is it a difficult question? You're not a hammie, so utilizing the term "we" is nothing but a deliberate false impression. So much for any credibiliy you were attemping. Go back to your other ID, since you have the need to feel accepted by others. Pretty good trick Twistie - reply to them only in rec.radio.cb WHICH THEY'RE NOT READING BECAUSE THEY'RE READING REC.RADIO.AMATEUR.POLICY so it makes it look like they are stunned silent by your post LOL. |

If they've been punished, then hands off. If they've NOT been punished, then hands off also. I'd say you're a natural-born criminal lawyer (in both senses of the word). It's our system of law. They taught it to us in junior high school social studies. I know I'm getting old, but I don't think things have changed all that much... |
