Shoot, see, we have something in common..the only thing more boring
than playing golf is watching it...ever played Frisbee Golf? It's
pretty cool
and even a sanctioned sport,,even have a few courses near you
(Philly).
Hehe..yea,,watching it sucks....that frisbee thing may have originated
with college kids out in Ca,,but it sure caught on big,,I am aware of
it
because the world champion (there really is such a thing) lives in
Clearwater...they fly him around the country all year to play f risbee
golf and the dude makes 6 figures..endoresements, products,,..I
watched
this dude play before and it's like watching any performance
artist.the
"holes" are metal garbage can looking things,,there are drivers,
putters, etc,,all sanctioned weight in grams are strict enforcement of
such......played the exact same way as golf,,,,,,,to watch one of
these
tournaments and to see someone like this champion whip a frisbee a few
hundred yards, up and oversome trees, with a curve back BEHIND the
trees, and hit the basket (There have been holes in ones, I've seen it
HIT the basket, but never actually witness a hole-in-one) on his first
shot..unreal.....I was a frisbee freak from way back.....this fairly
new
sport has folks our ages active in leagues ,,,,and the wagers are the
same as one would find on a regular golf course...I suck at the game,
though,,I can match most of these guys for distance, but whe it comes
to
"driving" it home, most of these guys are all par 3's, as are most of
the courses I've seen....Iv'e managed a few par 3's, but six or seven
is
more like my style.
