Anybody know what is the best antenna to install and how to install it on a
Nissan Xterra?

The 'best' antenna would be one designed for mobile use. The
'best' way to install it is by following the enclosed
directions.
After that, it's just a matter of personal preference. Which do
you like the most?

On my KW i prefer the 5.5ft. Firestik,
on my P/U i prefer the 9ft. whip.
