Most Burger Kings do not use 154.570/154.600. The ones I have monitored use a
customer input frequency of 154.540. This is a licensed business band
frequency, NOT a no-license MURS frequency.

Other common fast food inputs are 154.515 and 151.895. These are also licensed
business band frequencies.

You're both wrong. While I agree there are those who respond to such
complaints, no city in the US has what you called a "Radio Inspector
Division." You will not find a single city that created a position or
has a position that exists solely for such cb or hammie radio activity
and related complaints.
Freddy, even the hammie organizations are in agreement that the feds
abdicated their responsiblity in regards to cb radio. Hell, many think
they abdicated their responsiblility to hammie radio also, judging by
the manner in which they are so eager to auction off
my,,er,,yours,,,umm, OUR frequencies. It's not about "roblems" Freddy,
and it never was. It's about cold hard ca$h!

For instance. It is all too easy to modify one of these rigs to transmit on
154, 155, or higher freqs. All one needs is an antenna that handles these
frequencies without causing the protection circuit to dump the radio. A Rad
Shack discone is one such antenna....

Better yet: an antenna cut to resonance. Since 154Mhz is a popular business
frequency, antennas designed to transmit here are inexpensive and easy-to-find.

Are you telling me that it's unusual for hams to operate (illegaly)
out-of-band?

Consider the number of hams who use their dual-banders on the FRS and GMRS
channels...or the number of hams who use their HF rigs on the CB band.

I would dare say that *most* hams partake in such behavior at least
occasionally.

Not condoning it, just stating that it does happen...and happens frequently.
