jerry, you seem to have some kind of instinctive feelings for this
team as if somehow you are in some way connected to them...i can
assure you that you are not in any way, shape or form connected to
them.........they are just some team that happens to be in the
carolinas......now then, this is a sad commentary on the way we
americans are these days.......we have american boys fighting and
dying on some God forsaken desert for people who in some ways ,I think
could care less that we are there, yet somehow we find time to grouse
about some stupid football crap that means absolutely nothing to
anyone if you think about it.......what we have here is basically a
bunch of black men, who after 4 years of college, did not graduate,
who cannot read and write, but however due to the fact that they are
good at football, they somehow find themselves making large sums of
money , and living the good life. and so these rich men, play a silly
game on a field owned by some rich guy who is called a owner and who
relies in many cases on monies that come from you and I. so they use
the sports talk shows, etc, etc to gin up some local support for this
team, even though it is privately owned. this is needed to allow him
to come to you and request funds, whenever they are needed because one
of the great ideas of the rich is to make others pay for their ideas
so they can remain rich.......so now , you think that they are your
team and they are from the south, and all that goody goody stuff but
in reality they are the property of one or a group of owners who could
really care less about you and your needs or wants......the only thing
important to them is to get richer by whatever means necessary ...so
you are allowed this brief dispensation of carthartic feelings in
order to make sure you vote for the new stadium or whatever they have
in mind for you folks sooner or later......i have seen all of this
many times and truely wonder when the puppets will get tired of the
strings.........you know karl marx said something to the effect that
religion was the opiate of the people ..........well for america i
would have to say that professional sports is......you know you get
more people sooooooooo damn excited about this meaningless football
crap but you cannot , i repeat cannot get the same people to go and do
a simple thing on vote day and that is pull a damn lever.......shame
on us........shame on us all..........
