Twist,

What was broadcast from the ARRL website was worrisome. The take I have on
it is this: where there is an egress, there also exists an ingress. If the
lines are filtered so as not to cause interference, then they will not be
interferred with. 20 to 50 watts is all it takes into a dipole located 50
or 100 feet away from power lines to totally disable BPL.

We'll see.

Hello, Keith

Heheheeee ... we used to do that with teletype patch cords to the newbies
when I was on Guam. Gets your attention, pronto LOL.

My grandparents still had a crank system - their ring was four shorts, I
believe. That was in the late 60s. I suspect is was one of the last crank
systems around. When we called them long distance, we had routing numbers
for the operators as it was so hard to locate them (Black Lake, NY). Hard
to believe nowadays.

I've got news for you - you and I are getting not only over the hill, but
off the cliff as well LOL

Totally agree. Mopar kinda hinted at such a position last week. I
didn't see the league's comments,,,but Westchester County hammies in NY
are already having problems with it.
