It's a 11.5 HP Briggs engine.

Purchased new in 1986, used only for mowing the owner's 3/4 acre lawn.

Just talked to the dealer I bought it from, and he thinks $500 is a
reasonable price.

I don't know exactly what limp-wristed is, but you definately need
some hand strength to operate it. The brakes/clutches are operated
by squeezing levers and pushing something with the thumb.

I'm replacing it with a smaller unit because I messed up my back
big-time running it for about six hours continuously a few weeks ago.
