Uniden Pro 510XL and power connection????

Hi
I just won o ebay this unit. It has cable with fuse that should be connected
to car battery.
I believe I can somehow use lighter plug to power this unit, can't I?

You could.... but you don't want to...

noise & poor grounding, etc...
