We ought to start planning that rec.radio picnic for next summer.
Hell, if we make enough posts in the right groups, betcha we can get
some turnouts. I thought about the best way to pull this off and a
State Park that allowed camping would be perfect.....

I prefer a private campground if it's up to me. The Rangers can be
assholes in those state parks. I can supply 40 acres with hook-up's
and you bring the mule.

maybe we can even get some of
our west coast friends to come. When's the last time any of us
experienced a good 'ol coffee break? I mean, keydowns are cool, but
carry a different element. Speaking of keydowns, I need to start
checking some more out,,haven't been to one since the rag tatters of
the suncoast put one on in the Everglades earlier this year and the
turnout was kind of small (only two custom jobs). the rest (all six)
were off-the-shelf models.

Sounds like a stretch up here in Ohio, but I'm game Twist.

How about a Bronco, will that replace the mule

Landshark

A Buell and a mule sounds like the ticket, if one of them has the
102 inch whip and some AUDIO. Who am I kidding? The Bronco don't
have much more than 70 amps does it?

Damn man, 40 acres would do just dandy.

Hmmmm,,,there seems to be a contingency of tri-state ops here,,NY, PA,
OH, ,,,add in the few part-timers from MD, NC, and Ill, and we have the
makings for a picnic. Shoot, maybe a raffle with a killer base station
to the winner and winner must be present....or one of Jay's
antennas......I know that's how we packed them in the past,,,the bigger
the prize, the more that bought tickets. I'll bring the hog and noisy
generator.
