CB Handheld Modification Question

I was told that the Cherokee AH-100 can be
modified for ham radio operation? Has anybody
been successful with this mod? Also are there
other cb handhelds that can be modified for ham
use?

Out-of-band use, yes, Ham use, not necessarily...
