Coax in door

Will shutting a car door on the coax from the antenna do any harm? It
creates an indention in the cable.

A "small" indention won't do any harm. However small is a relative term. If
the indention is too big you'll short the outer shield to the center
conductor. You don't want that to happen, period. If you have access to a
SWR meter then check your match. If it's 2 to 1 or less then don't worry
about it.

Hello Nathan 0515:

I use RG-142 Coax, it is the same size as RG-58 only its bullet proof.

New it will cost almost 2 dollars a foot, but I have slamed the truck
door on it for years and years.
