You can thank labor unions for that...and most other "Made in China" products. Kevin, WB5RUE I have to agree. I think the idea of unions was to protect abused workers from low pay and long ours. Since the beginning, the pendulum has swung way in favor of unions. The biggest thing I see is plants closing down in urban areas, and moving to cheaper rural areas. And then from there, just overseas. I would wish they would find a middle ground, where they can both be happy. I am not against unions, but I have seen some friends lose lifetime jobs in plants, where they where making $25 per hour, and the plant closed and moved to NC, and hired workers at $8-10. Now, they can't find any work for unless it's $10-15. Vinnie S. |
