I have a President Washington uniden 858 chassis with an 8719
on it.
I purchased rig used and it has talkback in it. I would like to put a
switch on the talkback to disable it.
Does any one know specifically what is done for the talkback mod on
this President Washington.

No. I just purchased a Uniden and the tech talk me into getting the
talkback put into the unit. Wish to heck I had not had it
done!!!!!!!!!!!

Will never own another radio with talkback in it. Fug!!!!!!!!!!! This
thing blows the doors off the pu even with the AM/FM radio turned off.

Talkback is one of the most stupid things yet to come along in CB.

the roger-beep?

Are you aware of the origination of talkback? Hammie designed. I'm
beginning to think it was conceived just to screw with the
holier-than-thou types. It does that very well. Such banes of certain
hammies draws them to the service like a maggot to rotting flesh.
