Good advice, the new CB'ers should become acquainted with freq charts
and use of the proper modes (protocols) on the various ranges of freqs
(bands):

Saying CB'ers should become familiar with hammie bands is about as
sensible as saying all hammies should become familiar with the
Freebands. If a CB'er is interested in hammie radio, he will seek out
hammie band information, but if a CB'er (no matter how "new" he/she is)
is not interested in playing hammie radio, there is no reason for them
to learn anything of the sort.
