Does anyone have specific details on the design problem that forced
Radio-Shack to recall all TRC-459s several years ago? |

I heard because it can burn your whole house down in a matter of
minuets. No - Just kidding... I have a feeling if there was a recall its maybe the power supply in the unit that uses AC Current was not made right or is up to specs and probably could cause a fire. They dont recall cb radios for anything else but for AC power only. Brian - Las Vegas , NV |

I thought it was more with the design of the TX circuits; i.e feedback loop
problems?? "Captain Crane" wrote in message ... I heard because it can burn your whole house down in a matter of minuets. No - Just kidding... Remembering back: It had something to do with the TX/RX alignment
oscillating. I know the proceedure was a full re-alignment. Homer EX-Radio Shack manager in the 70s-80s |
