Ask what your local trucker channel is and program it.
Channel 19 is a must. It used to be the emergancy channel in the US.

No j'aint. 19 never was no emergency channel.

19 is the mobile calling channel. Just because truckers use it it doesnt
make it the trucking channel although many people think it is. Theres lots
of car drivers on CB

That is the trucker channel.

9 is the emergency channel.

Absolutely, same in the UK although our channel 9 is a different frequency
from your channel 9 its still referred to as the emergency channel although
unless you were a bit of a pauper youd use your mobile in an emergency not a
CB.

On a more serious note heartfelt sympathies to all people affected by the
tragedy in New Orleans. In this day and age you really dont expect for
things to deteriorate like they have in a democratic and humain society. The
stories we have heard makes you think of a third world country not the most
powerful nation on earth. Were all thinking of you...
