6 AM is for the biggest of the big and the loudest of the loud. Try a
SSB channel, like 38 lower sideband. Bet ya' have way more luck with
your contacts.
3's from Tampa Bay, Florida.

Maybe it`s because here in the states the channels are noisy with so
much traffic..I never cared for skip myself and would always turn off
my set when it started getting to much

Hell, when I hear the skip rolling in on my CB, I know it's time to
turn off the Robyn SB-520D and fire up the IC-720A to work some 10
meter DX!

I am on 10,12, 15, 17 meters, and hear nothing from Australia. I am in New
Jersey. I think the problem is when the band opens, one of us is sleeping.

Forget 11 meters. I hear nothing from foreign countries except Mexico.

Ahhh, the days of skipland. Not too long ago for me. I've talked to
skipland off and on for the last 15 years or so. I live in a condo
now, so NO outdoor antennas. This is my first post to the board. I
go by Buther Boy.

Yes but when I fire them up and ask my friend 20 miles down the road
how I sound I don`t want someone in Texas saying I sound good :)

Well G'day again !!

Well i make contacts into the west coast USA on 38 lsb and 275550 usb but am
i hear them just rocking on through, nothing to do with one sleeping and the
other awake cause 7 am in the morning here is 1 pm day before us on the west
coast USA and a few more hrs later on the east coast. been along time since
i have made contacts into the east coast but still get into CAL and oregon
good. might have to try something different here see how it goes. LOL. but
as far as skip goes here in australia it has been poor :( ... with openings
lasting for very short amounts of time... anyway will keep playing around
and listening, ya all have a G'day .... cheers from thunder downunder 01 :)
