SAME??? TRC-458 vs TRC-490 ??? LOOK EXACT???
 

What's the difference? Looks the same to me......Have the TRC-490 myself
but, I'm located in CANADA. Must be a model recognition difference? It's

They look the same but are different.

The 458 was the original and converted easily.
The 490 used a different PLL but could still be converted.

In reality any radio is convertable. Just determines how much you want
to spend on doing it. Some radios are easier than others.
